Du 27 Novembre au 18 Décembre 2009, vous pourrez apprécier les oeuvres de la photographe Marie Sjovold, au Bar Floréal (Paris), dans son exposition intiulée “She Is”.
“The six last weeks of my own pregnancy is captured in She Is;
My body’s transition from light and youthful to heavy and uncomfortable, the transition from child to parent, from an independent individual to a part of a larger community.
Children become parents, parents become grandparents and grandparents, great grandparents.
Roles and relationships in the family are redefined when a new family member enters.
The pictures of my family and myself became a projection of my own thoughts about this new chapter in my life, where literary I have put them in an imaginary family album, where reality and fiction is intertwined.” Marie Sjovold
Marie Sjovold est née en 1982 à Oslo (Norvège), où elle vit et travaille actuellement.
Diplômée en Photojournalisme, elle a reçu de nombreux Prix et a réalisé maintes expositions, collectives ainsi qu’individuelles.
